We are delighted to announce our litter of 9 Small Munsterlander puppies, born 30 July: 5 males & 4 females. This is our first litter from our beautiful imported breeding pair, Samu and Tofi, representing Hungarian and German bloodlines respectively. To our knowledge, they are the first Small Munsterlander breeding pair established in South Africa.

The Small Munsterlander is an exceptionally versatile, intelligent. energetic, affectionate breed. They are equally at home working in the field as capable hunting and retrieving dogs, or as devoted family companions.

Our puppies are being raised with individual care, to place each one in a loving, responsible home suited to the breed. The parents are KUSA registered. The puppies will be microchipped and registered with KUSA. We welcome enquiries from families and working-dog owners. R28,000. Hanneke Willemse 082 541 7468 Posted 14.10.26

ABOUT MUNSTERLANDERS

Like spaniels, they like water, both sea and fresh water.

Height at shoulder, Male: 50–58 cm, Female: 48–56 cm.

Talking of dogs,

When training a puppy, make the commands CLEAR. Puppies can't process long sentences, so keep it short and add hand signals if appropriate. The Bible, in Habakkuk 2, 2 says, "Write the vision and make it plain, that he who runs may read it." He who runs in this case could be an active puppy who is always on the move, so keep the training session short, and only teach one command at a time. Puppies can't read, but they can read our gestures, facial expressions, vibes, and intentions.
